Responsibilities of Borrowers
Borrowers are responsible for the timely return of all materials charged out to their account. Borrowers are also responsible for any damages to materials charged out to their accounts, and for notifying the library of any changes in address.

There is no limit to the number of books a borrower may check out. Loan periods may be extended over holiday, semester and summer breaks with the permission of the library staff.
Renewals
Borrowed materials may be renewed if they have not been recalled or placed on hold for another patron. Equipment is renewed on a case by case basis.
Holds
Patrons may place a hold (reserve) on materials already checked out to another patron. Place holds using the Request feature in Minerva, at the Service Desk, or by emailing library@unity.edu.
Returning materials
Books may be returned either to the Service Desk or placed in the book drop slot in the library entrance. Equipment must be returned to the Service Desk.
Fines
Students will be charged an overdue fine for returning course reserve materials and equipment past the due date.

Library privileges will be suspended when fines total over $5.00.
All library users will be billed for the replacement of library materials not returned.
