What is PaperCut and FindMePrint?

PaperCut is a print management tool accessible from your MyUnity SSO Portal. Use this service to print from personal devices (web print), keep track of  how your printing habits impact the environment, add print credits, and more. 

FindMePrint is the name of our network of printers located all over the Pineland campus. When you send a printjob to "FindMePrint-MFP", you can retrieve it by signing in at any printer using your U-Card, Papercut PIN, or UC username/password.

Cost

Cost per page for both printing and copying:

Black and White: $.05
Color: $.15

Costs are automatically deducted from your PaperCut funds. Prices are per printed side of page and covers letter (8.5"x11"), legal (8.5"x14") and ledger (11"x17") sizes.

Printing from university-owned devices

All university-owned computers and laptops, including library laptops, are able to print directly to any networked printer on campus. We recommend printing to FindMePrint-MFP to make retrieving the print job as easy and convenient as possible.

Unlike printing from a personal device, PaperCut's Web Print is not used when printing from a university-owned machine. Just click File > Print! Printer Properties can be accessed using this method, making this ideal for those needing to print in color or adjust any other print settings.

Printing from personal devices

There are three methods available when printing from your personal device on the Pineland campus.

Method One

Use PaperCut's Web Print from any device with a web browser. (No setup or drivers required.)

  1. Save your document as a PDF or standard Office format.
  2. Login to PaperCut, choose Web Print, and you will be guided through uploading your document and selecting your printer.

Note: Printing options are limited to the printer's default settings at this time (black and white, double-sided).

Method Two

Print using Google Cloud Print. (Limited setup, easy to use after configuring.)

  1. On computers, it works best if you are logged into your Unity Environmental University Google Apps account using Google Chrome. (Alternatively, you can link your personal Google Gmail account to your Unity Environmental University account using an email authentication process.)
  2. To setup a Google Cloud Printer, you will need the link to one of our Google Cloud Printers. These are published on UCommunicate / SharePoint here.
  3. If you connect to the Google Cloud Print using your Unity Environmental University Google Apps account, your document will print shortly after sending a print job to it. If you are using your personal Google account, the PaperCut system will email you at your personal address and ask you to authenticate with your Unity Environmental University account before printing your document.

Method Three

Print directly from your Apple iOS device. (Very easy to setup and use.)

  1. Download the PaperCut iOS printing profile and install it on your Apple iOS device.
  2. Find the “Printing” app installed in step 1 and enter your Unity Environmental University username and password.
  3. Using the “upload” icon in your iOS application, select Print, and choose your printer from the list.  (You can send jobs to the printer without the app, but they will not print without installing the PaperCut application and authenticating with the print server.)
